After graduating from West High School in 1932, Bill Roberts continued his artistic training at the John Huntington Polytechnic Institute. Roberts began as editorial cartoonist at the Cleveland Press in 1932, and his work was nationally syndicated by Scripps-Howard. During the 1940s through the 1960s, he also contributed drawings to the sports pages and penned a weekly cartoon, the Week's Wash. He retired after 46 years on October 31, 1978 and died at age 64 on November 18, 1978. Fro...
